Europit Secures Tendring Taxi Contract
Providing Mechanical Checks for Taxi and Private Hire Vehicles
We're really pleased to announce that Europit has been appointed by Tendring District Council as the approved provider for taxi and private hire vehicle mechanical inspections across the district from 1 May 2026.
The announcement was confirmed in the council’s latest Taxi News update to licensed drivers and operators.
Our Oxford Road branch in Clacton will now carry out the vital safety and roadworthiness inspections required for hackney carriage and private hire vehicles licensed by the council.
The appointment reflects Europit’s continued investment in high-quality workshop facilities, experienced technicians and trusted vehicle maintenance services for the local community.
Supporting Safe, Reliable Transport Across Tendring
Taxi and private hire vehicle inspections play a critical role in ensuring passenger safety and maintaining high standards across the local transport network. The mechanical checks are designed to confirm that licensed vehicles remain safe, roadworthy and compliant with council licensing regulations.

- Tyres, wheels and tread depth
